Earlier this year, New Zealand Chiropractic College published a study in the journal Experiment Brain Research. This study measured participant’s ability to contract one leg muscle following full spine adjustments. The research showed nearly a 60% increase in muscle electrical activity, a 16% increase in absolute force, and a 45% increase in drive (ability of the brain to activate a particular muscle). The research also suggests that spinal adjustments can help prevent muscle fatigue as well.
